Mind Management is Essence of Life Management

Quality of our lives comes from the richness of our thoughts. If we want to live a peaceful and meaningful life, we need to learn peaceful and meaningful thoughts. A quick fix doesn't work for personal development. Any changes we want to do in our lives, we need to invest our time, effort and be patient for the outcome.
Determination and persistence are the mothers of personal transformation. It is also essential focusing on the process rather than the result. If you want to achieve something, try to focus on process and enjoy the process of expansion as well as growth rather than the result only.
A boy's story
A boy went to study under a great teacher.
-The boy asked the wise man, "how long will it take me to be as wise as you",
-The wise man replied "five years".
-"That is a very long time" the boy replied. "How about if I study twice as hard?"
-"Then it will take ten years," the wise man said.
-"That is far too long," said the boy. "How about if I study all day and night every night?"
-"15 years," said the wise man.
-"I don't understand, every time I said I will devote more energy into my goal, and you tell me it will take longer. Why?"
-"The answer is simple", said the wise man, "with the one eye fixed the destination, there is only one left to guide you along the journey."
This story tells us to be patient with what we want to achieve and enjoy the journey of expansion and growth rather than only focusing on the destination (what we wish for, to be or where to arrive). Only focusing on the result is not a way of healthy thinking. We also need to consider what we can learn, practice and experience during the learning process.
