Positive Thinking

Apparently, on average, around 60 thousand thoughts are crossing our mind every day. The most exciting thing is that 95% of our thoughts are the same or very similar to the day before.

Don't forget; your energy flows wherever you focus on.

Imagine we have a bad habit of negative thinking and almost all of our thoughts are the same as the day before. The primary source of our unhappiness can be our thoughts. Whenever we stop thinking negatively and focus on good things and improve positive thinking, we can be happier and more successful.

Don't forget; your energy flows wherever you focus on. If you focus on negative things in your life, you will waste your energy on it. You will notice that your energy is drained in a short time, and you feel exhausted, which might lead you to have anxiety, stress, and depression.

What Is the Source Of Negative Thinking?

Several reasons can be the source of our negative thinking such as;

  • Personal circumstances such as losing a job, failed relationship, unable to make decisions etc.

  • Social circumstances such as falling out with a close friend or doing something that not acceptable by society and feeling ashamed.

  • Family circumstances such as unable to get on with family members or serious disagreement with family members including partner, parents or children.

  • Health issues such as mental health problems, hormonal imbalance, temporary or permanent disability, lack of vitamins, lack of nutrition, bad eating habits, etc.

Since most of us staying at home during this lockdown, we can observe our ourselves and find out whether we have negative or positive thoughts throughout the day. If you find yourself thinking negative most of the time, it is an excellent time to start changing by improving your positive thinking.

So What Is Positive Thinking?

Positive thinking is a way of finding positivity in a negative and challenging situation and being strong enough to eliminate or change the situation from negative to positive. Positive thinkers find life difficulties as a challenge and opportunity of improving the quality of their lives rather than as problem.

How Can We Start Thinking Positive?

We can change and gain positive thinking by speaking positive, looking for positive things in life, being grateful what we have got, and removing negative people and things from our lives. For example, there might be a difficult and challenging time in your life, such as losing your job or unsuccessful business attempt. You should not be discouraged and feel you may not find another job or try another business. Instead, it would help if you were grateful you are healthy, gaining support from family and friends, having experience in career and industry, and education that can open doors for you. When you think you have these all in your life, you will feel better and hopeful about the future. All you need to do is to make efforts and overcome this challenge. You shouldn't forget that everything happens in our lives for a reason. The challenge you are experiencing might help you learn new things, find out different ways of life, meet new people, and gain information about new organisations you might work for.

It will also help if you spend some time on your personal development and increase your confidence by reading, listening, and watching self-development materials. It can help you to develop the habit of positive thinking and make better decisions for your future.

Once you start to think positive, you will begin to notice positive things happening, and positive people appear in your life.
